I used to have a friend, who lived a long ways away. Flying was difficult for her, there was a look of relief on her face when she finally saw me at the gate. Though she loved my family, she often needed time to calm down after the flight, often sitting somewhere having tea. The last trip, because of actions that were not mine, things went horribly wrong. The result was never seeing her again, never speaking again.
